Doodlebug Design: Hats Off Collection

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun layout featuring the new Hats Off Collection from Doodlebug Design!  I love that this collection is neutral in color, it allows you to customize your projects using the colors of your particular school!  I finally got to scrap my girly's graduation from last year, take a peek...

I fell in love with the Odds & Ends in this collection!  There's a great mix, some silver metallic, and some clear acetate!  They are so fun to scatter around a layout!  My favorite was the sweet Girl Owl!

I added in some Blue Jean colored elements from a few different collections including the Gingham Linen Petite Prints, Dragon Tails, Teensy Type Alphas and some Glitter Sprinkles!  They coordinated perfectly with my daughter's high school colors!

The Cute Clips are such fun!  I added a few of the stars to the layout and the graduation cap clip to one of my balloons!

I also love the speech bubble Odds & Ends and stickers, they're perfect to accent all the staged photos we made the kids suffer through, lol!  Now if I can only find the time to scrap the other thousand pictures I took of the graduation, I'd be in great shape!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock: Spring House Box

Hi Everyone! Today I'm on the Lori Whitlock Blog with a  tutorial showing how to assemble Lori's new Spring House Box (here in the Silhouette Store).  This is such a sweet box that can hold a small gift or some treats!  Take a peek....

I used some Doodlebug Designs Gingham Linen Petite Prints papers and Glitter Sprinkles for the house and flowers.  To tie it all off, I used some Doodlebug Chunky Twine in Bumblebee.  This box could be used for a number of occasions, including birthdays, Mother's Day or just because!  For detailed instructions on how to assemble this file, head over to Lori's blog here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: At The Zoo Nursery Frames

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some fun shadowbox frames I made to give to a friend who is having a little boy this summer using some Doodlebug Design's At the Zoo collection!  As soon as I saw the adorable Odds & Ends critters from this collection, I knew they'd be perfect for decorating a nursery!  Take a peek...

I started with this 6x6 Shadowbox Frame cut file, and some Doodlebug Lily White Textured Cardstock to make the frames.  I then added paper from the At the Zoo 6 x 6 Paper Pad for the backgrounds.  They fit perfectly into the frame opening!  Now for the fun part, I chose a few of the critters and other shapes from the At the Zoo Odds & Ends pack to add to the frames!  I popped the pieces up with some foam tape to give them a little more dimension, and added some Zoo Assortment Matte Sprinkles to complete the look.  Here are some close-ups...

The frames have string on their tops to hang them, or since they are made completely from paper, they're light enough to be hung with museum putty.  I couldn't just give her the frames without a card, so I made a step card to add to the gift.  The sun is from the Fun in the Sun cut files available in the Silhouette store here and in the Lori Whitlock SVG shop here.  The stickers are from the At the Zoo Icon Sticker Sheet and some Bumble Bee Teensy Type Stickers.

I can't wait to give these to my friend!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock: May Creative Team Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!   It's time for the May Creative Team Blog Hop over at Lori Whitlock!  You should have arrived here from Traci 's Blog.  Here's the order for today's hop!

For my project I played with Lori's new 4x4 Shadowbox Frame. (here in the Silhouette Store.)  I made a couple of the frames to showcase pictures of my favorite fuzzbutts!  Take a peek...

I used some Kitten Smitten papers and Odds & Ends from Doodlebug Design to decorate the frames.  These frames are great, you can stand them up on their own to put on a shelf  (they are about an inch thick) or since they are made of paper (I used  the sturdy Limba Woodgrain Carstock which is 111 lb.) you can hang them on your wall using simple museum putty.

And now a few things for you!  First, Lori is having a 30% off Sale in her SVG Shop!  Just use code MAY2017 to get the discount!

Also, how about a free file!!  This file is free for today only!  No code or minimum required.

Finally, how would you like to win a $20 Coupon to Lori's SVG Shop!

That's it for me today, your next stop on the hop is Anita !    .  Have a great day!

Lori Whitlock: Succulents Box Card

Hi Everyone, today I have a fun card for Lori Whitlock.   I just love Lori's Box Cards, and I also love the new succulents she has designed, so when she came out with the Box Card Succulents (here in the Silhouette Store), I was ecstatic!  I had such a fun time putting it together, take a peek...

How cute is this?  I used Doodlebug Design's Gingham Linen Petite Prints, and I embossed some of the cacti to give them a more realistic look.  To finish it, I added an enamel dot to the center of the flower.  This card could be used for almost anything, birthday, thank you, just because, "stuck on you"... you can add whatever sentiment suits your needs!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design Door Hangers

Hi Everyone!  Every once in a while my husband actually asks me to use my scrappy skills to make something for his work.  Recently he mentioned that some of the ladies he works with were wishing they had some way to close the "door" of their work cubes so they could get work done undisturbed.  He asked me if there was a sign I could make for them, and this is what I came up with....

I started with this door hanger from the Silhouette Store which I cut from some Doodlebug Design Bubble Blue Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  I made a print and cut insert for the door hanger which can be flipped to indicate whether the virtual door was open or closed.

To finish the hanger, I added this cute little typewriter from the Doodlebug Flea Market Cut files available here in the Silhouette Store and here in Lori Whitlock's SVG Shop.  The little heart is from the new Rainbow Heart Shaped Sprinkles from Doodlebug Design.

He said they were a big hit, now to see if they actually work!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
