Lori Whitlock: Purse Shaped Box

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a cute little gift/gift card holder that I created for the Lori Whitlock Creative Team.  Take a peek:

I have so many birthdays, anniversaries, graduations over the next few weeks, I just might make a few of these! I used Lori's Purse Shaped Box (here in the Silhouette Store) and some fun papers from Elle's Studio Cienna Collection to put this together.  I added some stitching and a big flower embellishment to my project, but the purse is really cute on its own as well.  It's the perfect size for a small gift or gift card!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Paper Issues: Hooray for the Red, White & Blue Issue

Hi Everyone!  There's a new issue today at Paper Issues, Hooray for the Red, White & Blue, sponsored by ThermOWeb!  ThermOWeb sent the PI girls some of their fabulous Deco Foils to play with, and here's what I created:

I used some of ThermOWeb's Gold Deco Foil and White Foam Adhesive to create the stars on my card.  I love the touch of sparkle it adds!  It was simple to do, I just cut the star from the foam using a thin metal die, then applied the gold foil.  It was the perfect touch for my red, white & blue card created using some goodies from Doodlebug Design's new Patriotic Picnic.

Link up your projects for a chance to win an assortment of Deco Foil Products from ThermOWeb.  What are we looking for? Any projects with  patriotic themes, about Memorial Day, military heroes, parades, use red, white and blue, nautical elements, use ThermOWeb products, or use the May or June free printables from Paper Issues.   Also stop by to see all the inspiration and products from ThermOWeb!

Paper Issues : Scrap & Chat Challenge Layout

Hi Everyone!  We had a really fun time last night hosting the Paper Issues May Scrap & Chat.  If you're not familiar, it's an on-line crop with one Challenge and one Game in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Group.  I hosted along with Michelle Gallant.  Our challenge was a tropical themed mood board... take a peek....

And here's what I came up with... this is my daughter at dinner one night last summer in the Florida Keys...  I used Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss for the layout because the colors were spot on!

One thing I love about Pink Paislee collections is all of the embellishments!  They make it easy to create fun clusters of goodies!

I couldn't resist the gold Chipboard stickers!! They added the perfect sparkle!

If you missed this Scrap & Chat, no worries!  The next one will be held on Friday, June 26th!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Design: Mini Doilies!

Hi everyone, today I have a layout featuring Doodlebug's new Mini Doilies.  I am completely in love with these doilies!  They make the perfect addition to any project where you are looking for a circle element.  Take a peek...

This picture is from our trip to the Florida Keys last year.  My daughter had a great time swimming with the dolphins!  For my layout, I used the new Sunkissed collection and Bumblebee, Limeade & Tangerine Mini Doilies.

As soon as I saw the Bumblebee Mini Doilies, I thought of using them as "sun" element on a project.  They are the perfect size!  I added a couple of clouds cut from some Lily White Sprinkles Vellum.

I'm a firm believer in the "rule of three" when it comes to scrapbook design.  So, if I had one doily, I just had to add two more!  The Tangerine & Limeade doilies were the perfect match to the Sunkissed collection!  I also like how the round doilies break up my very "straight" design.

That's it for me today!  Make sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog daily for more Mini Doily inspiration!

Paper Issues and Tombow Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Tombow USA and PaperIssues Blog Hop!  You probably got here from Beth Watson's blog, but if not you can head over to the Paper Issues Blog to get the whole line-up and start from the beginning.  You don't want to miss anything!  For my hop project, I created a fun mini to showcase pictures from our trip to the Florida Keys last summer.  It's one of our favorite places to vacation!  Take a peek...

I used Color Chaos and Clear Cuts from Bella Blvd. for the body of my album, and the embellishments are from various Bella Blvd. Collections.  To hold it all together securely, I used Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive and Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.  The liquid glue was perfect for use on the Clear Cuts, since it goes on and dries clear, Also, I loved the Xtreme Adhesive for adding embellishments...especially in a mini album that gets handled a lot, it really keeps things where you want them!

Here are some peeks at the inside pages....

And I couldn't resist embellishing the back page!

Both Tombow USA and Paper Issues are offering giveaways so be sure to visit all of the blogs on the hop. Tombow USA is giving away an assortment of their adhesives, the same ones used by the Paper Issues team including Tombow Mono Adhesive Permanent, NEW Tombow Adhesive Dots, Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. Paper Issues is giving away a $20 Gift Card to the Paper Issues Store.  To win, visit and comment on all of the participating bloggers' posts.  When you're done, be sure to head on over to the Paper Issues Facebook Page and tell us which project is your favorite.  You have until May 12th at 11:59 EST to comment.  Winners will be picked randomly and announced on May 13, 2015.

Now one more thing before you move on... I'd like to share the cut file I created for my album.  You can access the Silhouette file here

Doodlebug Design Sun Kissed Layout

Hi Everyone, I have a fun summery layout today featuring Doodlebug Design's Sunkissed collection!  These pictures are from a few years ago...my daughter and her friend tubing in Crab Cove, Wareham, MA.  They had a blast!

I love the little Sun Doodlepop!  I accented it with a couple of clouds I cut using Lawn Fawn's Spring Showers dies.

I used my Silhouette and a glitter Sketch Pen for my journaling!  The font is by Lori Whitlock and is called Dot Sketch Font.

My title was created using some Chippers in Beetle Black.

That's it for me today, I'll be back on Saturday for a fun Blog hop with Paper Issues and Tombow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun card & gift set that I created for the Lori Whitlock Creative Team.  I used two of Lori's new files, the A2 Sliding Candle Cupcake Card and one of the boxes from the 2 Boxes on a Letter Sized Page.  Take a peek...

For my papers, I used the new collection Lori designed for Echo Park, I Love Sunshine.. the colors were perfect!  I love how the candle slides up to reveal the sentiment.  I used my Silhouette Sketch Pens and Lori's Cheerful Sketch Font to write Happy Birthday.  The little box is perfect for a small token... I put some Hershey's Treasures in mine.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!
